Thought you might like to see a few of the photos we took of Caitlin doing
the Tough Guy race in Wolverhampton at the weekend.
There were over 5000 competitors from all over the UK and, judging by all
the foreign film crews, well beyond as well. Most were men - Caitlin said
she could smell the testosterone. It was a superb atmosphere, but after 5
mls really hilly swampy XC they went into the 'Killing Fields' as the
organisers call them and negotiated 25 of the nastiest obstacles you've ever
seen underwater pipes, electric fences, barbed wire, 30 foot high rpe
climbs, burning bales and an endless supply of freezing, mucky water.
It took her 2 hours 58 minutes and she ended up in the medical tent with
mild hypothermia, but she made it and was one of the youngest to finish,
male or female. Shes battered, bruised and very stiff but very proud of
herself - although she did say 'never again'
